Powchasers collects minimal data to provide you with snow forecasts and a personalized experience:

Account information: If you create an account, we store your email address and display name.
Favorites: Resorts you save as favorites to personalize your dashboard.
Push notification tokens: If you opt in to push notifications on our mobile app, we store your device push token to send you snow alerts.
Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand how people use Powchasers. This collects anonymized usage data such as pages visited and device type.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve snow forecasts and resort conditions.
To send push notifications about snowfall at your favorite resorts (if opted in).
To save your preferences and favorite resorts.
To understand usage patterns and improve the app.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated data for analytics purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. Account data is stored in our database with encrypted credentials. Push tokens are stored server-side and used solely for delivering notifications.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Analytics: For anonymized usage analytics.
Expo Push Notifications: For delivering push notifications to mobile devices.
NOAA & Open-Meteo: Weather data providers (no personal data is shared with them).

6. Your Rights

You can:

Delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings.
Opt out of push notifications through your device settings.
Request a copy of your data by contacting us at hello@powchasers.com.

7. Children's Privacy

Powchasers is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the date at the top of this page.
